Media Composer on Apple Silicon Moving Forward

    Longtome user, rare poster.

I'm looking to move to a Mac Studio after I finish my current project.  I'm on a 2009 cheesegrater that I've upgraded a lot over the years,  My 4k broadcast documentary and corporate projects have measured delivery times so long rendertimes have not been a problem for me, but it's time to upgrade.  As soon as the latest Mac OS is qualified, I'm going to make a move.  I'm excited to try the new interface, and all of the new features that keep bubbling up.  As part of my research, I ran accross this video on youtube. https://youtu.be/SjQ7A1INxHE  It's long and pedantic, but offers a lot of keen insite on running media composer on a mac without quicktime, which is one of the reasons I've coddled my old system for so long.  For those wanting to run Media Composer on the Mac, I think it's a good watch.

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

How are you exporting your timeline? Could you be using the legacy quicktime engine that takes ages? How about an OP1A export and transcode with FFMPEG or Media Encoder?
