    Transition Manipulation function?

    Hi,

Quickie: sometimes my Transition Manipulation feature will turn on, and sometimes not.  And when not, obviously adjusting a fade's frame amount is cumbersome.

    Please advise,

Do you mean you click the transition manipulation button to make it active/turn it on but nothing happens? Or that the feature is on/active, but you don't see the manipulation handles on the transitions themselves?

I try to click on the button to make it active, but it simply will not switch on.  The only way, then, to alter the transition is to press the quick transition button and start all over again, which is really cumbersome.

Weird. Where on the interface is the button? Does the problem persist if you create a new user?

Somehow i've been through this with you guys before but couldn't find that thread.  It's a button below the monitors.  Last time it just somehow, i have no idea how, resolved itself, but now it's come back - to not switch on.  Changing users makes no difference.

What if instead of putting the button under the monitors, you put it on the toolbar along the top of the timeline? Does that change anything?

Sorry, my mistake, it is already on the timneline toolbar, and from here it is not switching on.  Please advise.

If you create a new user does the problem go away? If you create a new project does the problem go away?

No.  As said above, I've come to you guys before about this, though cannot find that thread.  I tried your suggestion; it didn't work.  Last time, it just somehow fixed itself, though now it has reoccurred.

I looked for your old threads, too. The one you're talking about is probably this one, but the answer was 'it just suddenly started working again'.

I'm out of ideas. You should create a case on the MyAvid support portal.

Oh... it looks like the issue resolves itself when in Dual Monitor view.  When in Single Monitor view the Transition Manipulation button switches itself off.  That must be a bug.  DC

R-click in the monitor and change from the drop-down menu.

I can confirm that in single-monitor view the transition manipulation button doesn't work in 2022.10. If a couple of other people can confirm this I can escalate it and see if that's on purpose for some reason or if it's supposed to work.

Out of curiosity, what do you gain switching from single to dual monitors (or from dual to single)? What's the workflow where it's helpful?
