Avid NEXIS | EDGE is not merely an upgraded version of the NEXIS you may have heard of before, but rather offers a whole new remote-based workflow which enables editors to work from anywhere. It offers much more remote capability that you might be used to right now. Early testers have said it feels as if they are editing right at the facility.

For Media Composer users who wish to engage with the new Proxy Workflow that EDGE is now capable of, they can unlock this ability on individual Media Composer systems, simply by upgrading to Media Composer Enterprise. Doing so enables the loval proxy workflow, as well as gives them the ability to interface with any NEXIS | Edge project that is shared with them.
