Combining QT from MC6.0 with a .WAV track

I have an old project on a MC6.0 machine, and a soundtrack mastered for it (in Cubase) as a .wav file. They're synched to the frame.

I'm not going to put the track on MC6.0 and output it from there to a QT reference file witih linked audio file and encode that in Sorenson. (That never worked properly from this installation. The maximum audio level is always too low and it was an issue no one could crack.)

I think the issue was with MC's audio out, not Sorenson, so I thought I could try for a better result by combining - in Sorenson - the Cubase-mastered .wav with MC's QT reference file, but I can't determine how.  Maybe there's a better option.

    Suggestions are welcome, thanks.

    I'd definitely avoid Sorensen Squeeze.
This type of sound relay should be easy in Shutter Encoder (donateware, for editors by editor). And it allows for quick and decent conversions to h264, h265 and what not.

I'm 99% sure the relay can be done in MC6 without any issues, as long as you make sure your pannings are set right.

Thankyou very much, Job. Looks solid.

Can you recommend a workflow for passing a video-only edit from MC into Shutter?

I'd do a Same As Source QT from MC.
