The only instance I can find of this error is on the PC MC forum. Briefly, last year I captured hours of old PAL DV footage. Avid 3:1 compression, 48k audio, 24bit, PCM(MXF). I must have been using a 2018 release on Mojave (see below>>>). Tried playing these clips on my updated iMac, Big Sur 11.6.8 with MC 2022.7). Video can be seen but no clip plays with this error. Booted up with my Mojave drive (always keep an older OS!) and installed a 2018 MC release. All good (but see* below). Uninstalled and installed 2019.6 on Mojave. No clips play. Error shown. So probably not an OS issue.
* As a workaround I thought I'd consolidate or transcode in MC 2018 and change the audio format to AIFF. Sort of worked but only A1 was online afterwards. A2 offline - so something else screwy. So I can play and edit in 2018 but not a later release. I may have to edit and export in 2018 (it's mostly family footage so no great panic). Any thoughts?
And why the 'AMA' elemnts of the error message? This is kosher Avid media.

Hi!
You might want to try posting this here: https://community.avid.com/forums/398.aspx
Otherwise, I wonder if you are able to send a sample of this clip (as long as there is no NDA and you're happy, of course) and I could check to see if it plays on my Avid?
If it doesn't, we can troubleshoot further.
