I've ordered a hyper-machine to jump to Current from MC6. Interested to know what features folks have particularly appreciated in releases since that cro-magnon era.
I'm glad to see that scriptsync is included. Hoping it's possible to disable clips on the timeline, and speedramp audio (with pitch correction).
No re: speedramping audio. Muting clips in the timeline is a yes. I'm grappling thinking back to v6, though, having a hard time remembering features that have come since. Target Masks come to mind. Multichannel tracks. I might edit this later.
Do be aware that the interface got a huge makeover in 2019, you'll likely need half a day to play with it and force it into submission (my tip: float all windows). Also be aware that the video engine has been revamped and new MOV MXF and MP4 export options have been introduced, which VASTLY outperform the classic QT-based exports.
A few more:
native ProRes | 64 voice audio playback | Master Fader | Source Side LUTs | Background Transcode | MXF Op1A export options | Place a saved title in the timeline | 2K 4K and many more project canvas sizes | DNxHR | List Tool (replacing EDL tool and FilmScribe) | Quick Filter items in Bin | Audio Grouping | Timeline clip comments in timecode generator | Audio dupe detection | Timecode burn-in effect local frame count | Sync by Waveform | Live Timeline (you can click around in bins without MC stopping playback) | Editable Group Clips | Background Bin Auto-Save | Add effects In-Out | 32bit floating-point quality | ACES support | Strip Silence | Find & Replace (text in Bins) | Bulk Edit | H265 support | Dragging clips into closed folders in Project Tool / Sidebars

Coming from v6, expect to have your mind blown...
My favorite change has to be how easy it now is to construct sequences, using the timeline like a playpen, duplicating clips, moving them north south east west, muting them, sub-sequencing selections, and generally being able to work as fast as your imagination permits. If you do effects, you get some larger fonts and some organizational help, but I don't recall too much in terms of added or improved stock fx beyond what Job mentioned. Be curious what your impressions are...

Kidding. UME is my favourite. I can ingest OP1a media via dragging the database file like with OPAtom, H.264 "low res preview" exports, H.265 support
