We are using DNxHD dll to decode DNxHD video.

Want to know if output YUVs as obtained from DNxHD Decoder are in full range(0-255) or restricted range (16-235). We need to use this Information for post processing purposes.

Decoder does not clip or scale output values into restricted range. Recommendation is to treat output values as

BT 709/2020 8-bit                      
Peak Range     1...254    
White Level        235          
Black Level         16           

Peak values 0/255 are clipped as reserved ones for synchronizing purposes in SDI.

The clipping can be turned off if out-of-band encoding is used.

Out-of-band encoding 8-bit
Peak Range    0...255
