After upgrading to 2018.12 and recently 2018.12.1 I cannot access our blackmagic mini-recorder inside avid. If I click the connect hardware button, Avid locks up and I get the spinning beachball of death. I have tried uninstalling the Blackmagic desktop drivers multiple times and no luck. I have even tried going back from driver vsrion 10.11.4 to 10.11. No luck.

Any suggestions?

I use this with my laptop to capture live on set and edit. For the last 2 jobs I have been capturing with Blackmagic Media Express to quicktime and fast importing into Avid.

I've donwgraded the Desktop video drivers from 10.11.4 to 10.9.10 and Avid still crashes when trying to talk to the Mini Recorder. I am starting to think it's a problem on Avid's end.

I got Avid to stop crashing with the Dekstop Video installed. Now I am not getting video in, just audio. Blackmagic exoress shows both. Not sure where the problem is, butit's annoying.

Anyone have suggestions?
