Icon shows that MC 8.9.4 does not completely quit.

MC 8.9.4

Mac OS 10.12.6

MC will not quit completely. It does it's cleanup of the databases but the icon shows it never completes. Activity just goes to zero and has to be Force Quit. What is up with that?

Recent versions have been very slow to quit. You have to wait. Painful. Sometimes I see an 'Unexpectedly Quit' message, too. Compare this to DaVinci Resolve - quick! Probably the legacy of old code.
