When using the IPWS Search request, to exclude assets which either don't have the system attribute Record Complete set, or have it set to "0", I specify "Record Complete" NOT_EQUALS "0".

This works fine as long as at least one asset in the database has this attribute set. If none of them do (so essentially this attribute doesn't exist) the search never returns anything! As a workaround, I have to add the attribute to the database by finding an asset in another database which has this attribute set and importing its AAF (I can't add it using SetAttributes because it's a SYSTEM attribute).

I'm wondering if there's a better solution to the problem of searching for attributes which may not exist...
