Hi,

I recently got my old desktop computer out of the cupboard , to brush up on my skills. It's running media composer 5, last time I used it. It worked fine.

When I tried to import my first piece of footage I came across a problem.

I try to play footage either through the composer window, or after I've imported it on the time line. It won't play through the timeline window.

What I've tried, click play. The footage goes black, click stop, it jumps to the frame it's stopped on. When playing, audio plays fine.

This happens on both viewers, I can also drag through the footage. I can see it, but won't play.

Any advice greatly appreciated,

We need a few more details. Are you on Windows or Mac, and what OS? What is your hardware profile? And has the hardware or software changed since the last time you used MC 5?

Sounds "looks" like a bad driver
