DaVinci Resolve Edit Index Source In Timecode 25:39:54:42 from an AVID Media Composer AAF File that contained a clip with timecode past hour 23
It is possible to have Timecode embedded into QuickTime Movie files with hours past 23 such as 99, AVID ingests into a bin this file, except the hour field timecode rolls and displays the rolled value metadata to the user, then exports the value another way in an AAF.
The following Non-Linear Software Programs will view timecode 25:39:54:42 as 01:39:54:42
Avid Media Composer v8.6.3, Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve v12.5.2, Adobe Priemiere Pro CC v2015.4, Final Cut Pro 10.2.3,
AVID Media Composer v8.6.3 is rolling the hour number, behind the scenes keeping track of the timecode, except showing the user the timecode 01:39:54:42
In AVID Media Composer if I make an AAF file of a sequence that contains this clip, the Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Edit Index displays 25:39:54:42 at that Event.
In order to conform a clip with hour timecode of 25 from an AVID AAF file, in DaVinci Resolve using the 'Clip Attributes' command to update clip Timecode from Hour Field 01 to Hour Field 25, thus matching the Resolve Edit Index Event.
