    Camera outputs to Xpress Pro

We still use three Sony HVR-1000 cameras for sports shoots.  We like to use tape for fast queing game plays/shots etc.

The other day our sports guy shot an interview on one of the cameras and we want to import the video into our AVID Xpress Pro editor which we use for sports highlights.

The problem is we have lost the video/audio input from the camera to the Avid.  We can still control the camera via firewire from Avid, but we cannot see or hear the video.

Avid will allow us to click on the capture button but when we turn it off, a file does not appear in the bin.

We are at a loss.  We think its camera output settings, but we're also thinking it might be in the deck configuration.

AVID support does not have anyone anymore that is verse with the Xpress Pro software so they are no help at this time so I am sending this out to the AVID Community!  Can anyone help?

We have an active ticket with Sony so hopefully they can help.

My email is mick@newsnowdc.com... We kind of desperate so we welcome any calls that might us!

    Hi,

Was this working before and this problem just started, or is this the first time you've tried to capture from this camera on this system?

What format is your Xpress Pro project?

Media Composer 2022.12.2 w/Symphony/SS/PF options, HP Z-Book G6 17", i7-9850H 2.60GHz, 32gb RAM, NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000, Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini... [view my complete system specs]
