Hi all,
Holding back on installing 8.5 for the moment... but I noticed in the "What's new" guide, with the reshuffling of the menus, certain features are seemingly lost. Notably for the Read Audio Timecode.
It used to be in Special/Read Audio Timecode, but the column indicating where it is now is empty. Can anyone with 8.5 installed confirm that is still somewhere?
This is of course a vital feature for some workflows! (eg. TC Sync with certain DSLRs) - I have difficulty believing that it has been removed, it would be a ridiculous move.
Would have been nice to have a setting somewhere that restores the old menu structure (that has been the same for decades) for old-timers that need to keep working without wasting time reacquiring muscle-memory - this would have been surely possible?

Hmmm..not sure, as I never use the function. But the 8.5 Help lists Special > Read Audio Timecode still, so that is probably not a good sign.
I'll see if I can find out anything.

For me even the new way of setting up the TC window seems to have been thrown together by someone who has never used Timecode.
It's under the Clip menu, near the bottom...
