I have some Prores clips that I've linked to via AMA. I'm wanting to create some offline files to edit with, however, when I try to either Consolidate or Transcode, I get about 75% of the way thru the clip when it fails with the message, "Failed to Get the Sample Position from the AMA Plugin".If I toggle to the source record monitor, I notice that there's no T/C shown for the clip...ie, the T/C track is blank.
I can run this file thru Resolve and generate transcoded files, but, it won't run thru MC 7.03. Can anyone help me understand what's wrong?
I'm sorry, I've posted this error before. I haven't really been able to resolve the issue and hope someone has some new info.
Thanx

Do you have a link to a file
Tomas
Hi Tomas,
The smallest file I have that is failing is 5.5 Gb. I've tried to create a smaller clip to send you, but, when I generate a smaller clip, the thing Consolidates just fine. It would appear to be a file problem near the end of the sequence. Thanx for offering to look at a file. If I can generate a 2Gb or less file that fails, I'll post it on dropbox and send you a link.
Tomas,
I've posted a couple of files to Dropbox and sent you a link via private email. Please let me know if you find the problem.
Many thanx.

hmmmm...the more I look at this, the more I'm beginning to beleive that it's the Pix240 that isn't recording these files correctly for AMA linking. Both Prores and DNxHD file are failing. I can AMA link to similar files on a BMD Hyperdeck without a glitch.

Hi Bill, when this happens it´s usually the audio and that was also the situation here, removing it from the sequense and both transcode and consolidate works well.
I would guess for the Pix240 unit to troubleshoot for other audio settings if possible or maybe a firmware update, I found no Avid settings to make this work regarding the audio.
As you I am using a Hyperdeck Shuttle with success.
I'm very grateful for your help, Tomas. I'll explore audio options, as I think you're right about that.
Best regards,
Bill
Happy to have been able to assist Bill, good luck with troubleshooting
For anyone using a Pix 240 recorder:
the issue is a bug with selecting "hdmi/SDI 2 channel" for the audio input. Workaround is to use "two analog + 2 SDI channel" as input. A problem report has been filed with Sound Devices.
