I am using AMA files which exist on an external drive. When associating a volume (rather than individual files) it seems Avid can only find the files when I tell it to look at the base directory. I have multiple projects on the same drive, each in their own directory. Avid does not find the files if I attempt to associate with a subdirectory, so I am essentially having to call up every project rather than just one in the subdirectory I need. This would not be a problem as I can simply delete the resultant bins I don't need from the project bin, however, every time I do this the Project associated with Each bin changes to the current project I am in. This creates problems in our archive system (Marquis Project Parking) and offers a dilema following archiving when removing the project as Media Tool can no longer distiguish the files and calls up all the AMA files & associations even though they were originally created in other projects. We're using Media Composer 6.5.0.1 on a PC.

Anyone else use Marquis Project Parking and experience this problem and/or found a work around or solution?
