Hello gang,I have a question. We have before filming the ARRI ALEXA - RAW 2K. Offline edit in MC6, and online post production in FLAME. What is the correct workflow? It will operate import RAW material into MC? AMA I found and tested with ProRes files and it works, but I do not have raw material available.I need to create at the end of an EDL or AAF import into Flame 2K RAW connect with the material.thanksWilliam
With ArriRAW you can use either MetaFuze or for instance Resolve Light to create Avid MXF dailies for offline. EDL to picture post.
Thanks, tomorrow I should get some test files and try MetaFuze.

I would recommend a comparison between MF and Resolve. The latter may be faster and will be more up to date than MetaFuze (which has been stuck at the current revision for a while now).

OK.
I've found ARRIRAW Converter (ARC), the web ARRI. I'll try some tests.
Hello,so yesterday I tested the raw files. I managed to open it in ARRI converter and DaVinci Resolved but not in MetaFuze. ARRI Converter can not export MXF . Exports only DPX, TIFF and other image sequence. Da Vinci is at the moment on another PC, which may not be available. At 90% we get from your camera MXF files with identical raw, alechceme be prepared for all variants. I searched all night on the internet does not work why MetaFuze, without result (with DPX and Tiff sequence works). I enclose a link to the raw files.WilliamP.S. Maybe move a thread on MetaFuze Forum.
I think MetaFuze needs to have an Arri plugin installed. I can find traces of that, but the Arri website no longer has this plugin available. Let me see what I can find out.

Vilem:I could not find it anywhere. Old links do not work in the new is not. MetaFuze version is 2.5.

I would recommend Resolve for a dailies to DNxHD media format workflow. (Renders out straight into a Avid MediaFiles\MXF\"number" folder)
AndrewAction: Resolve lite is less than a 5 minute install so you could setup another copy on an available machine. On a Mac here I have Resolve 9.x and Symphony 6.5.2 happiy running together. (Both at the same time on occassions) I would recommend Resolve for a dailies to DNxHD media format workflow. (Renders out straight into a Avid MediaFiles\MXF\"number" folder)

Thanks for the offer sent by mail. Currently, we have installed the Symphony 6.0.3.2 and the PC version is a problem with the video driver certified for MC. Resolved to not run at all. I know that for MC 6.0.3.3 patch adds a driver, but we do not want it installed on enterprise PCs, until you verify the stability of the system itself. The main editing machine trying to install a minimal amount of other software and maintain stable version of MC. Resolved come to me as a "go with the gun on a mosquito."V.

For the moment, we have from the operator raw, and identical MXF files.
LUT for offline splicing were applied from Jorgen Persson.
But for any other workflows or damage MXF would be good MetaFuze functional.
Hello, I tested the workflow with Resolve ((Job ter Burg) thanks). The results look OK, but you will lose metadata.
See the images below.
Red: MXF clips are from Arri cameras supplied with raw files.
Blue: Resolve created and connected with AAF.
Yellow: Resolve created and connected with a database file.
In the next figure the export options in Resolve 9.1 I think the build offline splicing in Resolve would work, but I fear that the missing or mismatched metadata would bring headache when working in another post.

Apparently, that ArriRAW plugin for MetaFuze was built to support the ArriRAW files from the original D21, not the current Alexa. Plus, Arri seem to have pulled that plugin.
