    Exporting a .wav with more than 16 audio tracks selected

    I know that you cannot ENABLE more than 16 audio tracks in Avid but can you EXPORT (as a .wav file) more than 16 tracks? I'm worried that even though I have more than 16 tracks selected in-to-out, they aren't exporting if they aren't enabled.

    Not sure, but that's easy enough to test.

    Export a sequence that has more than 16 tracks, but have "Use highlighted tracks" deselected in your export settings.  Then, re-import the file and see what you get back.
