Its really annoying in Mac.
And, why does it take 30 mins to import every video such as mp4 and h264 in Avid. Doesn't it support basic codecs?
Hi,
The answer to both of those questions depends on what version you have, but generally speaking, set your windows up how you want them and then save the current workspace. That way all you have to do in the future is select the workspace and everything will go where you want.
As for importing, if your mp4 and h264 can be opened by Quicktime, then you may be able to link to them using AMA and then transcode them (if necessary). Again, this depends on what version of Media Composer you're running.

Its 5.03.
I just want all windows to come forward when I click on one. Half of the prog sits behind the browser when I click one window and only that window comes forth.
I don't want to do any transcoding.

Don't know what that's about; one of your Mac bretheren will have to chime in.

1. File > Link to AMA File(s)
2. Point to Quicktime (mp4, h264, whatever, as long as QT can play it)
3. Edit
