Pan and zoom 1080 footage in 720 project

Hi there,

I wonder if there´s a way to pan and zoom 1080 media (imported or via AMA) in a 720 project in media composer 6, without losing quality?

This thread talks about zooming into a TIFF sequence, but the answer is the same as it is for 1080 footage in a 720 project.
