Please read the Patch Instructions document prior to installing the software. Note that the Patch Instructions have been updated to better articulate Updates versus Patches.
Please report back here with any problems installing or running MC after installing. PC customers, you DO NOT need to deactivate your license to install these files. You must have the full 5.5.3 installer present on your system when installing these files. Mac customers must do a full uninstall/reinstall cycle as usual.

Hey folks
I'm unable to process that update, I see the installer launcher and then it diseapers and never show up again.
I'm running MC 5.5.3 soft only, on a supported z400 with ISIS and Interplay.
Any guess ?
Virgil:To install the patch file, you must also have to full unzipped 5.5.3 main installer present on your platform. Do you?
I do have it on the system. But the installer does not even ask for it, it crashes before ;)
I tried to re-download it again, same issue happenning.
Thanks for the reply ;)
Virgil:Just to confirm, you are attempting to run the AvidMediaComposerPatch5.5.3.1 Windows Installer Patch (.msp) file, correct? I've updated my own MC 5.5.3 soft system and all went smoothly. Trying a fresh download of the file would definitely be appropriate in case there were any corruption issues, but I take it you have already done that.
With futher investigations, it seems that if Interplay Assist is installed on the system, the patch doesn't work.

Can any other Interplay users confirm this? We do not have Interplay Assist on our editing platforms here at TPC, only on producer's workstations, so I cannot test it here.

Uninstalling Assist does not solve the issue though, but it's the only difference between the CPUs I tested.
Two have Assist and patch doesn't work, the other editors that are not running Assist are fine.
OK ... Tried on a z800 nitris, running 5.5.3 on Seven SP1 64bits too, does not working neither.
No Assist installed on it.
I guess I'll wait for the next patch! If you need any other info about my setup, do not hesitate!
