I have been reading so much recently about the MC Keyboard method vs the Liquid Drag & Drop method of editing.I could not contain myself any more and now have produced this short unofficial tutorial on what must be the ultimate keyboard shortcut to be found in MC5.I hope that you can understand the finer points.Regards,Douglas

Thank you Douglas! I had heard about this but couldn't find it in the manual anywhere. By following your tutorial I was able to make it work on my 15th attempt. But you didn't mention deactivating MC first. Also I think I now need a new hard drive because doing this a second time (I just had to show my wife) caused the C: drive to eject through the side of the case. Probably wouldn't do that on a certified machine though.

That is a good point!I am using a Dongle based system, so I completely forgot to mention that.Thank you for pointing it out.

PS. Who said that Monty Python was dead?
drbgaijin:...in the UK if we say a person is "certified" or "certifiable" it indicates that the sanity of the person is questionable. Is it possible that in the USA even machines can be "certified"?
No, but I think our ongoing love/hate relationship with the Avid software shows that maybe at times, the program is "certifiable".

AndrewAction: I just feel like I think John Cleese must have after his second arm was severed. (Avid and the punctured Grail) Which leg is next???
Good point, Andrew. But don't forget he fought on until the bitter end (or was it the biter end?) Never gave up!

Absolutely. I've encountered more than one pc that has gone around the bend.
