Just checking back if there's any improvement on HDV batch capture via firewire on the recent MC?

I'm currently undergoing the familiar rough road of batch capturing from a tape (HDV) via Sony Z1/Z7. Project is a typical HDV 1080i material.

Any recent fixes, workarounds or improvements?

I batch capture from a Z1 plugged into the front FW port on my HP 8600 into a 1080i/59.94 project on a regular basis and it goes very smoothly. When you say it's a rough road, what issues are you having?

Well, for me, batch capturing often fails. sometimes, I have to try several times until it works....that kind of thing.

I cannot remember the exact error mesages. I'm not working on Avid right now.
