We run DS ver 10,2 on HP 8400 which was upgraded from ver 8.4. Unfortunately, the help guide is still older than ver 7 and not very helpful. From where can I get the help guide for ver 10? Thankyou.

it's the full software download from Avid, assuming you upgraded it's in the software install folder, or on your back-up disks if it's a new machine.. i can send it to you once i'm back at work (it's still Sunday night here)

Assuming you did a full uninstall of 8.4 and a clean install of 10.x then the only help file that's installed should be the 10.x version.  The uninstall will remove all old help files.

If you don't have the help file then I'd be seriously worrying about what else you don't have.

So... uninstall any plugins, uninstall DS, reboot.  Install DS, install plugins.  All should be well with the world.

I checked the properties of the help file in the install folder and was surprised to learn it is 10.1 ver. I wanted to use the effect sphere within 3Dwarp and was not finding it. It showed up in the help file but no where in the effect folder. After doing some search I learned that 3Dwarp is removed from ver 10. Then why does it show up in the help file? Confusing.

Where does 3D Warp show up in the the Help file?  I can't find it even by doing a search.

Type Warp in the search and the first in the list is Creating a 3D Warp Effect.Here is one of the line

Applying a 3D Warp effect as a transition lets you change from one clip to another using a warp effect, such as a page turn.

I only have access to the 10.3 help file right now, and entering "Warp" in the Search tool only gives the expected reults.  No mention of the old 3D Warp effect anywhere.
