I took quite a long time before I realised that you can, not only map keys to your keyboard, but also Commands.I got an email from Tim in Australia asking me about a problem he was trying to solve in MC.Before I had a chance to try and help he had already figured things out for himself. Here is what he taught me.Now you too can use the idea!Regards,Douglas

Hi Douglas!
It took me 5 months to figure this out! after I emailed you, I was in the command pallette & I thought I would just have a play with the 'menu to button reassignment' took me awhile before I finally got it! great to see you put up a video for it sometimes the Avid tutorials brush over the simple stuff if your coming from another NLE!

5 MONTHS????!!!!
Google: "avid, using up and down arrows to zoom in and out" returned a great number of results in .31 seconds
and again most of the results were dated from Oct 2008 or so. (right about the time that XpressPro was killed if I remember correctly and many people were upgrading)
Yeh I only started using MC 5 months ago, I figured everything else out in MC but it was just one of those things I couldnt work out in the back ground as I was going through everything else, I came from Liquid. I should have tried google! cheers!
Thank you so much douglas, i really wanted this for a long time.
