Hello all,
This is prob. a simple question, but I pose the question any how. I looked in the 100 something tutorials and was hoping to find my answer in :
but didn't ....
I would like to have a BIGGER size V & A tracks - meaning the height - in my time line. How do I customize this?
Thanks for your help!
Hi,
With the track indicators on (purple) press CTRL+L to make the tracks bigger, and CTRL+K to make them smaller. You can also make tracks larger and smaller by clicking and dragging in between the track indicators themselves.
good luck,Carl

And don't forget saving customized timeline views, espcially when working with fully vertically expanded audio tracks.

Hello Btwein,
I see Larry already answered your question.I am sorry you could not find your answer in my 109 Tutorials........ I hid it under the title of "Link 39 Resizing Timeline Tracks"
It looks like this:
There are a couple of follow ups
Link104 Track Height - all the same size andLink108 Track Height - all the same size - REVISITED
Maybe you can pick up a little more info from those too.
Good Luck,

Hey Larry,
Thanks for the tip. It might be obvious to you, but HOW do I save the customized timeline views?
btwien: Thanks for the tip. It might be obvious to you, but HOW do I save the customized timeline views?
At the bottom of the timeline, to the right of the segment editing arrows, is a box. Click on it and select Save As and then you can save the current timeline view.
An advanced move is to link that timeline view to a workspace of the same name, then assign the workspace to a key. Take a look at this post for an example of what I'm talking about.
Hey Carl,
I found it, did not know you meant the "Unlisted" box...thanks ;)
I will wait with the advanced move until I know my way around more in Avid, thanks any how!
Here is a tutorial on toolsets and workspaces.
All of this info is in the Manual!

I need help finding out how to make my effect icons smaller in my timeline. I am not sure what i did but for some reason in my video tracks 1-2 any effect icon that I drop are larger then on my other video tracks.
All my video tracks are the same sized it's just the icons that are larger and need them to get smaller.
Thank you, for any help.
I don't know of a setting to change effect icon size. I think the way it works is based on track size, and that at a certain point the icon size automatically gets bigger or smaller as you make the tracks bigger or smaller.

I'd guess tracks V1 and V2 are ever so slightly larger than your other tracks - not enough to notice when you're looking at them, but enough to trigger the larger effect icons. Try making V1 and V2 slightly smaller and see if that helps.
