    Dell 690 & Media Composer v3.0 - Voila

For those of you on the 690 and wondering about the change from XPress Pro, I'm here to say it works great.  My specs:

Processor: Single Intel Xeon 3.2GHz dual core processor.  *important - i do not have the newer generation of dual core (5160).  Mine is the 5060 dual core processor...and I only have one.

    Mojo: Analog

    Sound: onboard sound

    Video:  nVidia QuadroFX 3500

    RAM: 4GB

OS: Windows XP Pro - Service Pack 3

Storage: Integrated RAID controller.  One 250GB OS drive and two 500GB data drives striped.  Firewire external drive as well.

Installation method:  Completely reinstalled Windows and installed MC clean.  Not due to problems - just to avoid them.

Result:  have been working in two projects over the weekend.  One 23.976 film based and the other 23.976 DVX-100 based.  Also imported 1:1 SD from After FX....no problems.  Thanks Avid!
