All three our Avids have been upgraded to 2.8.1 recently and since then they all share this problem: any old project that is recreated and has marquee titles in the timeline looks as though some of the letters has different levels of transparency, even though they all look normal (no transparency) once they are opened in the Marquee app. This is completely random and different letters become semi-transparent every time I resave the title. Turing it into an ordinary Title Tool title fixes the problem. This only happens to old titles in old projects that are recreated later.
My MCA didn't have this problem when it was still running 2.2.6, but a newer MC soft running 2.7.5 did. This is where I noticed it the first time. Now that all the machines are running 2.8.1 they all share the same problem. I tried searching the posts but couldn't find anything on it. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas?
Sorry - not sitting in front of my Avid right now, but if it's the same problem I had recently you can solve it by changing the render options from 8 bit to 16 bit.
Thanks for your reply Chad. Nope, tried it and there's no change. It's a 25i project with DV25 media and 1:1 MXF titles, don't know if that makes a difference.
