Exporting as Quick Time Movie: Error: File exceeds limit of 2GB, change export settings???

I am trying to export a quicktime movie (not reference), about half way through I get an error that the file limit size for exporting is 2gb, recommended to export a shorter duration or change my export settings?

There are no export settings to change the file size limit, i know you can change the file size limit for capturing, but has anybody heard of this?  I am using quicktime 6 because 7 does not work with my 4.6avid.

    Thanks

    Jana

Can you elaborate on export settings ? It's very unusual to stall on 2 Gb for Quicktime...

the error just said, to make the file a shorter duration or change export settings?  meanwhile export settings done allow you to change how big of a file to export.

ok but what are you using as settings? A qt movie can be a 10 minute piece compressed to 1 mb but it can also be exported uncompressed at 70 Mbps.. need some settings and codecs you are using...

    My settings I'm using are:

    Quicktime Movie
    checked off use enabled tracks
    same as source
    use dv codec
    video and audio
    4:3 square pixel

using Xpress pro 4.6, quicktime 6.0, I have never seen this error before and I have been able to export as quicktime movie at this length of video.

I have used Quick Time Movie for the last four (4) underwater video DVD's. The QTMovie is exported so it may be MPEG-2 encoded and I have not experienced a file size problem. I'll be happy to share my detailed instruction sheet if you would like to have it.

Alright, I got it to work!! It turns out I just needed to free up extra space, even more space then what the file needed.  Thanks for all your help!!
