Relatively newbie question! I'm attempting to import media to an existing Avid project with a few terabytes of already-imported material. Previous editors imported new footage to dated subfolders within "Avid MediaFiles/Media/MXF" so they wouldn't just get lost in generic numbered media folders. I was told I could similarly set a destination for the new footage I'm importing but I'm not seeing that option anywhere in the import dialog boxes or project settings. How do I set specific, folder-level location for importing media?
Thanks for your help!

There really isn't a way to choose which subfolder the media gets transcoded into.
I don't organise my Avid database at all. I use an app called MDV which can split out avid media files by project and organise them.
If you need to do it this way, I would transcode to a different drive then copy the media files across on the OS level
Editing Movie Magic.

You make sure the 1 folder is empty before importing.
You then importn and Avid will put into the 1 folder. Then rename that 1 folder.
Then repeat.
