AvidDownloads files need to be retained?

    Greetings,

While searching for files related to my hanging while loading issue, I came across files located at C:\AvidDownloads, with subdirectories "Downloads" (containing zipped files) and "EX" containing what appear to be unzipped files related to the Downloads directory. I'm speculating these are the directories that Link places files into when updating Media Composer.

Are there any reasons to retain these? They are just eating up storage. Surely the installed application files live somewhere else, right? (assuming I used the default installation locations)
