Hello,

I am trying to activate a trial subscription of Media Composer, but having no luck as only Media Composer First will open.

My trial is activated in Avid Link and when I follow the instructions to 'run trial' via Media Composer First I get the following message, 'Media Composer Trial activation failed'.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but I am still unable to run Media Composer Ultimate as a trial, MC First always opens instead.

When I hold 'w' upon start up the trial selection is greyed out also.

Any help much appreciated, really not sure what else to do at this point! I have been through all the knowledge base articles and forums post I can find, but nothing seems to be working.

Yes as mentioned in the original post I have been through all these steps to no avail. The first time I clicked 'run trial' it told me to restart and ever since it has given me the 'Media Composer Trial activation failed'.

Im fairly certain I haven't, it certianly has not given me any indication I have in the form of a message and appears activated in the Avid Link, just wont actually open as MCU.
