I've run into a problem with the subscription model of Avid. Every time I try to launch Avid and click the option to activate using Link, avid never ends up launching and I have to use "Trial" mode which does launch avid. I am logged in, my Avid license is activated.
I haven't had time to troubleshoot this because of the jobs but how can I go back to using the version I paid for?
Thanks for any help
Sure thing:1) Launch Media Composer
2) As soon as you clicked on the icon to launch it, press and hold the "w" key. This brings up the window where you can tell it NOT to launch the trial.

Thanks Chris - but when I choose Avid Link, Avid never launches. It's open but it just never moves on from that Activation window. I'm paid up, I've used it for years this way, and I logged into the site to make sure everything's working.
This screenshot shows that my paid license is unavailable - any way to re-activate it?
Has the license been used on a different machine? It looks like Avid thinks the license is in use elsewhere so unavialble.

The system ID appears activated on this machine with Device ID 3618262799324310266708711. I can manually deactivate for you, I need your go signal.
Thanks,
RalphC
This avid is specifically on my Avid system which I keep at this version - it's not ever been used on another device (I bought this pre-64 bit system just for this Avid). Would deactivating then re-activating help you think?
I appreciate your help
RalphC.
That did it! Thank you so much. I will try and figure out how this problem happened in the first place so I don't recreate it.
