Can I run Avid 2022.7 on MacOS Moneterey 12.6?
I have a machine I'd like to upgrade because of security fixes, but the only option availabe is 12.6 now.
I have been running MacOS 12.6 for a little while on an Intel iMac Pro with Media Composer 2022.7 and not found any issues yet. It is not officially sanctioned by Avid yet, however (see: https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Compatibility/en267087?retURL=%2Fpkb%2Farticles%2Fen_US%2Fuser_guide%2FMedia-Composer-2022-Documentation%3FretURL%3D%252Fpkb%252Fapex%252FKB_Render_ReadMe%253Fid%253DkA531000000DdhB%2526lang%253Dja_1_1_2_2_1_2_1_2%26popup%3Dtrue&popup=true).
Thanks. I'm on an M1, but sounds promising.
So now there is this upgrade window dilemma with Apple upgrades on M1 macs tied to a "latest version only" possibility to upgrade mac monterey. I missed the window to go from 12.3 to 12.4. Any suggestions on how to stay informed about Media Composer upgrades? Specifically - the short window of time where Avid supports the current mac monterey OS? I'd switch to PC but I've been a mac guy since the Media Composer came bundled in a Quadra 840 AV... so I resist...
I'm on M1 Pro MBP and having a lot of trouble running MC with Monterey 12.6. I had to switch from Premiere for a a project, and it didn't occur to me to disable autoupdate for the OS since Premiere has always been stable.
I get a lot of "assertion failed" errors during playback and export. It's a serious problem because Avid MC is practically unusable it's slowing me down so much and it's not possible to downgrade the OS to an earlier version. In other words, I'm kinda screwed.
I really hope they update it to be compatible with 12.6 soon.
12.6 now supported with MC2022.10: https://www.avid.com/de/resource-center/whats-new-in-media-composer-2022-10
now if i could get avid.com to stop changing my default location from the US...

Thanks! They must have just updated the matrix after I looked. Didn't think about the read me.
I will update both while the window to update both is open
Just a note, I updated to MC 2022.10.0 and I'm still having a lot of crashes / beachballing preventing me from working for more than a few minutes. It's no longer "assertion failed" errors, just hanging.
I submitted a case but it's very disappointing.
