    'downgrading' from MC2022 to MC2018.12.7

I run a pc (WIN10 Pro) using MC2022.4 on a montly subscription. I have been asked to use my machine to cut a project on MC 2018.12.7  - because I'm the second editor onto a project that has already been set up remotely from me and is running on machines using the older software.

If I understand the compatibility correctly I can uninstall MC2022 and download earlier software from version 2018.9 onwards while still using the same monthly subscription license. Am I correct in thinking this?

Also to install the 2018.12.7 onto my machine - the download center seems to suggest that I need v2018.3 to be installed before I can download 2018.12.7... Am I mis-reading this? Can I not download the full install of 2018.12.7 once I've uninstalled v2022 and then install 2018.12.7 using my current license?

    Thanks very much

    James

    Hi James,

Please see the MC license backward compatibility FAQ, to determine if your license can run the 2018.9 version. There is a Media Composer 2018.12.7 Win Full Installer.

    Thanks , RalphC

    Hi Ralph

Thanks for your response. I saw the full installer and  so I managed to swap over from MC2022 to 2018.12.7 last night. The entire program downloaded fine and then I was able to unlicense the 2022 version and license the earlier software. All seems to be up and running!

    Thanks v much

    James
