    Parsing the Avid Bin (avb) file format?

    I'm not sure which forum to post this, but...

    Has Avid ever released any APIs or tools for reading/writing Avid bins programatically?  From an Assistant Editor standpoint, there are so many "housekeeping" tasks that could be done faster and more efficiently with automation if that automation could understand Avid bins.  Just as an example, to move old sequences out of reel bins and into archival bins.

    Sure there are keyboard macros and such, but an API or something would be a game-changer.
