Noob question: please confirm what Avid codec I need to use

I have Canon R6 C-log3 footage that I need to convert to Avid DNxHD or DNxHR

However, im not sure what specific Avid I need to use to covert this footage without the loss of any information

    The original footage is

    HEVC Bitrate 45mpbs / HD 25 fps
    4:2:2 - 10 bit

So when I look at the overview for DNxHD (, im looking for an Avid codec that is HD 25 fps, 10 bit 4:2:2 and then a bitrate that is higher then my footage's bitrate, right? So that would bring me to the Avid DNxHD 185x codec...

Is this the way to do it? Just pick the one that is closest to your original footage.. and prefer a the one that superseeds your own footage (overkill is better right?)

So the Avid DNxHD 185 would be the best choice for my material?

    Is the footage HD 1920 x 1080

    And not UHD 3840?

If HD then you need DNx185X

    Or DNxHR HQX
