I was wondering what is the best workflow for converting timelines with mixed frame rates.
I received an aaf and edl from the editor of the timeline with mixed frame rates (23.97fps, 23fps but the avid project is in 25 fps) and a reference video in h.264.
I am now going to start converting each individual clip into 25 fps in Davinci. How do I go about bringing back the correct timecodes into a new timeline with all of the 25 fps converted proxies?
Please recommend your best workflow recommendations,
Thank you!
Why do you want to convert the mixed frame rate clips to 25fps?

Why convert them outside of MC, and how? Usually, 23.976 would be sped up to 25fps. Any other method is likely going to fail QC.
I'd always keep framerates ti the final online where I can decide the best conversion.

I sort of agree with Pat, but when mixing 23.976/24.000/25.000 it definitely requires speedups or slowdowns, and you need to do this correctly from the start, or you will run into sync and duration issues.
