Hey all,
From time to time my effect editor tab will disspear from my saved bin layouts. It's back again. After trying over and over to drag the window to my tab and saving the bin layout and setting. It still dissapears.
I tried a different user setting and the same issue is happening. I also trashed the MCState file in my setting folder to see if that helped and it didn't.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Have you tried saving the workspace as well as the bin layout? That's what I'd try next.

I believe this is a known defect. It will happen intermittently when you click on the timeline ruler, for example. There is a setting to exit effect editor mode when clicking on the timeline ruler (enabled by default) but the effect of exiting the effect mode shouldn't also close your effect editor tab.

I did try saving the workspace and it still doesn't stick.
If I bring the Effect Editor as it's own window, it won't dissappear. Only when it's in a tab. It was working smoothly for a few months in my bin tab, then there was an Avid crash and my settings probably got all screwey. Now if I set it into a bin tab, the second I'm not using the effect editor it dissappears.
