Hi all,

When I try to launch Avid Media Composer I receive the following error message: 'the program is not supported on VM instances'

A brief google search pointed me in the direction of deactivating windows hypervision, via the control panel. Problem is, hypervision wasn't activated in the first place.

Does anybody know what might be causing this issue or how I might fix it?

This is my first post here so I'm not sure of the etiquette or protocol for posting. If it's relevant, the laptop I'm working on is brand-new from PC Specialist (who make custom PCs) so I realise my hardware may not be 'avid certified'.
