I'm on 2020.6 and I find that my green dot effects, unrendered titles, Frameflex output etc. are no longer showing in my record monitor when I park the locator on that clip. It briefly shows when I switch to Color Correction, but disappears again when I switch back to the Editing toolset. The clips of course shows and plays in realtime after I did a full render of that section of the timeline.

All green dot effects and titles used to be realtime on my system. This changed on my system somewhere between 2020.4 and 2020.6. Any ideas?

Is 'Render on the Fly' turned on? It's under the Composer menu.

Thanks for your reply. I'm familiar with Render on the fly, but for the life of me I don't see it in the Composer, Timeline or any other settings...! Has its location changed in 2020.6? 

Also I suspect my old user settings have gone bad. I created a brand new user and suddenly all my green dot FX are real time again, so I think I'm rather going to roll with the new user from now on

No, I double-checked before I replied, and it's under the Composer menu.
