I just upgraded from 2020.5 to 2020.6, but avid titler+ cannot be opened at all.... So I installed it back to version 2020.5.

UNBELIEVABLE...BUT TRUE !!!

could anyone else please do a quick test to confirm or deny a problem with titler+ in 2020.6 ?

I did a clean fresh install of Media Compoer 2020.6 and fresh user settings on Catalina 10.15.3.

Project 1080p 23.976

I created a new title on the timelne using Avid Titler+ all seemed okay. The interface opended to let me type the titles and when I closed it. I re-edited the title again and playback of the title in the sequence all was okay.

I can meet you halfway and it might provide a clue.  When I right click on an unselected segment of filler and try to create a title Avid throws an error, but when I select the segment and right click it works as expected.

here, i tried in several projects at different resolutions, and i get zero response when using the button either above the timeline or from tools list.

have not created a new user setting yet, but will try first a complete reinstalling of mc.

update:mc 2020.6 fresh reinstall - basic new user setting...and still: 

titler+  is not opening! nada! no idea why now, but very glad to have bcc titler studio and new blue pro 5...

Something must be wonky with the installation process or an order of operations. I went from 2020.4 to 2020.6 (Catalina on 5K iMac) and Titler+ works perfectly. No issues at all. Works the same as it did before.

Question - did you upgrade to 2020.6 via Avid Link's promp[t to "Upgrade"? Or did you go download it the old school way from the My,Avid.Com method?

this afternoon, i uninstalled and reinstalled from a fresh download the old fashion way.

very strange indeed...

Touviere7, have you tried selecting a clip in the timeline, right-clicking and selecting 'Add / Edit Title'? I couldn't tell from briefly reading your description whether you only tried the button? Sorry if I misread your post.

FWIW I'm non 2020.6 now from a fresh install and Titler+ is working for me.

just to reassure myself that it was not an obvious problem with my system,

i just tried a fresh install of 2020.4: titler+ works, with old or new user's setting

                          dito with 2020.5: titler+ works, with old or new user's setting.

i'm gonna stay on 2020.5 for now and i really have the greatest hopes for 2020.7

That's so weird - I'm running 2020.6 and Titler+ seems to be working. I'll give it another try with a new user and new project...

I hope Avid have a solution soon. 

How can I get  older versions of MC? e.g. 2002:4 which worked?
