Pardon the question, but how do you disable the colour info tool?

You can't totally disable it, but if you go to Effect Editor settings in your User Settings you can un-check "Open the colour info tool when picking colour". If you ever need it, it's still available via the Tools menu, or via the button on the toolbar in the Colour Correction tool.

Yep, still happening to me in 2020.12, macOS 10.5.7.

For the record, as someone who just bought 2021.2.0 version, I am having the same problem. Really, really frustrating having to force quit/relaunch MC, just to get back in and make...a one line temp title. But I'll try that work-around someone mentioned above - thank you.

Just upgraded to 2021 on Big Sur and I am baffled by something as simple as choosing a color for a title in the new Titler+! The color picker sometimes appears... sometimes doesn't... sometimes crashes my system. Just... wow.

Guess it's photoshop titles until this gets sorted...

Still happening here consistently. On the lastest version.  I need to be able to choose a color. Also, while you're at it, please allow selecting a color from anywhere on the screen- record, source, or anywhere else.

Just installed 2021.6 (Mac OS 10.14.6). The very first time I tried to change the Face colour of a T+ title, the system locked up. This is STILL a killer bug.

I'm now back in Bournemouth University for a few hours, testing the installation for next term. New installation of MC 2021.6 on Mac OS 10.15.7. Qualified iMac, 32GB RAM. I have twice created a T+ title and both times, when attempting to change the face colour, the system has locked up. The second time I tried a workaround that had been suggested on here (Mikey B?) and deselected the option to open the Color Tool when selecting but it STILL locked up. Does anyone know the best most recent release where this actually works? They are trying to roll out MC 2021.x to a lot of BU's computers.

All releases of Titler+ are outrageously buggy and inept.   There are no versions where that doesn't cause a crash, as yet.

I tried this method - it sort of works but only if I leave the 'About ...' window up until it gets fed up and vanishes of its own accord. I think a workaround is to use the RGB sliders in the Effect Editor. So far that's worked. But I see other weirdness ... I am creating a video showing some oddities.

Currently using 2021.12.0 on a M1 Max using macOS 12.1.1, basically the latest ostuff available todayboth OS and software wise. Still getting this exact bug. 

2022.7 and first time out of the gate using this version's titler... locked up on color picker. Back to photoshop.  Can't believe this is still an issue.

Someone suggested disabling the Color Info Tool in the Effect settings. This has helped me ... worth a try.
