This finally seems to be of some use. I succesfully linked a 6k 50p BRAW file in an UHD 25p project. Clips are identified as Black Magic Raw video and all the metadata is there. Frameflex works fine. Also transcoded a clip to DNxHR HQX with the raster dimensions set to source which results in a 6k clip.

Hi,

Has anyone used this ama plug-in with MC 2018.12.9? The readme says MC 2019 and later but I tried with MC 2018.12.9 and it linked and transcoded. I just don't want to put it on 20 computers and then find out it's flaky

Oh and I'm on Macs.

Can you actually edit linked BRAW clips in timeline with out Media Composer Locking Up?

Using MC 2020.12 with BRAW 2.0 and it does not work. Others have reported same problem. I created a ticket and support said you must Transcode BRAW. Cannot link and edit it.

I have tested Avid Media Composer 2020.12 and 2020.04 on Mac OS Catalina with BRAW Player 1.8- 2.4 versions. Avid MedaCompser is asking for transcoding. I got confirmation that this expected behavior on current versions of Avid BRAW plugins. AVvid BRAW plugin does not allow to direct access BRAW video, like on Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve. That has been submitted as a feature requests. However we do not have visibility of when or if that feature will be implemented. Sorry that I do not have better news for you.
