Can please AVID forum managers delete posts from before 2015 ? Are they really necessary ? Seriously ... they're a waste of time and are totally outdated . Thanks

fss......... we dont delete anything. As there are SOME users who actually benefit from older articles as believe it or not, their are peeps still ysing older software.
To quote you... Seriously....... Why is it bothering you so much? When searching just dont go back that far. You can do advanced searching you know.
The data is valuable to some - so just go past it.

+1, However, one thing I do believe is that the search engine needs to show results in order of newest thread/post on top.
(In general searching these forums has become a task only google has mastered.)

Agree with both points. Googling works so much better than the forum search for some reason.

I find the old information really useful!
Sometimes they can be quite handy because some issue might return with a newer version or (more likely) the same fix for some old issue still holds true in the newer versions.
