    Setup USB audio interface

    Hello,

At the moment my setup is like this:

    iMac > T-Tap > Marantz receiver > 3.1 audio output
                                                    > video output to monitor

This is working great, but now I would like to use a USB audio interface (Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6) to use for my audio input (recording voice-overs and such.)
For some reason, Avid does not recognise the interface. In the Audio project settings, nothing is shown under input. In the Hardware tab, only the T-Tap is seen.

Is it possible to use them both? If so, how do I set them up correctly?

    Thanks!

    Hi Pieter,

Unfortunately, MC can only use one I/O device at any time. Once it sees the T-Tap, it will ignore any other audio or video I/O cards. So no, you can't use them both.

You _may_ have any luck tring the following: find the 'HW/SW/disable' button, then see if you can make MC run in Software-mode (ignoring the T-tap), then it may be able to use the USB device. My theory is that would make MC with whatever audio I/O you select in MacOS.

You'd have to toggle that button back to use the T-tap for output again. But I'm not 100% sure it will fly.
