My next attempt Title +… 2020.08
I managed to create static subtitles as laid out as in Marque.
However, the response to the required actions at work, on my system in the HD25p project, is tragic.
One layer in the produced caption began to move uncontrollably in the horizontal direction, no key points for movement were found, tracking turned off. He had to recreate the layer (this error was also transmitted during copying).
An MC crashed while trying to select a caption color with the eyedropper.
The color selection palette disappears into the background below the MC if you click elsewhere in the MC.
It's really not "Save curent parameters as…", only defoult!?, I usually create preferences in Marque for individual projects and types of subtitles.
The zero values ​​Translate (Layer (text)) are based on the position where you started typing. Center placement can only be estimated…
One of the Layer 6 text does not appear in the timeline after closing Title + editing. (has a different text color than other Layers)
Editing text (graphic and text) in a credit roll is practically impossible.

I had a case going about the colour picker. I think it's fixed in 2020.8 on Mac. They know that the origin thing needs addressing. What version are you on?

Here's my workflow for moving from the reliable old Title Tool to the "new and improved" Titler+:

Step 1) Pour yourself a stiff drink.

Step 2) Make sure the editing room is clear of children, members of the clergy, or other sensitive ears easily offended by displays of profanity.

Step 3) Remove any items that can be used as projectiles causing damage to your monitor and secure sharp objects that can cause bodily harm.

Step 4) Pour yourself another drink.  (Preferably a double.)

Step 5) Create the title in Photoshop or another graphics program.

Step 6) When in doubt, repeat Steps 1 and 4

Before this spins out of control.  Please make sure you update to the 2020.12 release.  There were a lot of improvements, guided and directed by user feedback that are in this release. 

True - there is even a Tracker - labelled 'No Tracker 1' that does not do anything. The engineers do sometimes reveal a glimpse of the future for us ...

I'm afraid this is spinning out of control. I have worked on Avid since it's inception and regularly upgraded over the years, but have been stuck on MC 8.9.1 since the Titler+ saga. I recently decided to download MC 2021.2 on my second (Mojave) partition for testing and apraisal. Whilst the Titler+ is an improvement on the previous iterations, I have now come across a MAJOR issue regarding using Boris FX on the Titler+, which is a deal breaker on many fronts.

My workflow has always used Boris FX on titles and I had hoped to continue. For now I am still able to use OS Mojave so have access to the old title tool, so I was able to compare what's going on between the two title tools. I can say that Boris FX still applies OK to the old title tool (apply to alpha channel). However, I cannot get any Boris filters to stick to any title made in Titler+. Maybe there's a secret workaround... There must be a way, I thought. It would seem not.

I have written to Boris FX, who confirmed my fears, quote "...Unfortunately, I believe this problem you are seeing is because the Avid Titler+ does not Support an Alpha Channel, for any Filter (not just BCC, but any other third-party, and possibly even Avid Native filters of a similar nature)... I believe this lack of Alpha support inherent in the Titler+ is the cause of this problem"

If this is the case, it will become a major headache for me, and no doubt many others. OK, for now I could continue with the old title tool whilst still using Mojave - for as long as it's supported (because I need access to old title tool for legacy projects). Catalina or Big Sur precludes use the old title tool.

I had hoped the Titler+ would by now at least/at last have addresssed the alpha channel compatibilty with FX plugins, but it's gone completely in the wrong direction. It means I won't be able to use Boris FX on titles in 4K projects. Maybe I'm missing something but as I see it, having paid for another year of Avid subscriptions, I still can't reliably upgrade Avid, Boris FX, Mac OS or Mac hardware.

Please could this issue be raised as a major bug that needs addressing. If Avid say it's not a bug but a feature, I'm not sure I will be paying for any more subcriptions for software that I can't use. Most of the other bugs introduced in the last two years can be worked around, but there appears no way around this Titler+ alpha channel issue.

Maybe Avid can liase with Boris FX to find a solution. As things are, I feel stuck in limbo land. Please someone tell me there is a way out of this mess - other than not using Avid, Boris or Apple in future.

I just tried Titler+ again, but every few time I try to re-edit the title, its completely gone. I cant do anything to get it back, the effect is still on the timeline and monitoring for the video track is selected but I can only see the video without the title in the monitor window. And its VERY slow.. its rendering for ages just to create a simple text without any effects.. Any solution?
