It might be my decaying brain, but can anyone tell me under what circumstances the 'Video LUT' readout of the Color Info Tool would show values that differed from the LH 'Video' value? The help files suggest it is to do with the display colour space but no combination of changes in the Project Window, Composer Window or Source Settings have any effect. Anyone?

I have my computer display set to rec 709 full range in the composer viewer settings, so when in the colour corrector colour info window the video info and the video Lut info are different reflecting the expanded values for the display. so for something close to white the values read (Video )R207 G209 B207 ,(Video Lut) R223 G225 B222. But only in the previous and next windows, not in the main “colour” window,
i don’t remember it reading like this! I expect it to give the Lut values in the main colour window too.
I notice also that when using the colour info tool outside of the colour corrector the video Lut values are the same as the “video” values, this is not how I remember the info tool.
Hi Roger,
I have my Project colour space set to Rec709, and my Display colour space to SRGB. The colour info tool tells me that the Video level of black is RGB 16, and the Video LUT level is 0. Similarly white reads 235 for Video and 255 for LUT - as I would expect. n'est ce pas?
Hi Mike ... I've tried a number of combinations of settings but I'll have another look. Hope you are well. Thanks.
This is weird. I tried changing the Display colour space again and no difference initially then suddenly, it kicked into life and now works as you describe. One of those things. Thanks.
