I use BCC Optical Stabilizer all the time. Works great for shakey shots or bumps when the camera is on a tripod. But handheld shots never turn out great. The shots hava a weird warpy thing. Anyone reccomend settings that helps with this? Or other software?
Thanks

Have you tried the image stablilize effect in the Media Composer effects palette?

I've never used BCC Optical Stabilizer, or Adobe offerings, just MC...but I just downloaded the demo of the software described here....

I'll give it a shot again. If I remeber correctly, BCC is faster and more flexible, which is why I switched. For example, BCC will smooth or stabilize which has come in handy and was able to easily fix a shot where the zoom was sticky and started and stopped frequently.
The nice thing about the built in Avid Stabilizer is that it works automatically. Just drop it onto a shot and let it do it's thing.
