It make NO SENSE to have to step in to a clip with multiple effects to do symphony color correction with the symphony interface! ALLOW US TO OPEN THE SYMPHONY COLOR CORRECTION TO ADJUST THE COLORS!
Not sure I understand what you're saying here.
I just did a quick test. Dragged the 3D Warp tool onto a clip, followed this up by Alt/Option-dragging an Animatte effect to create stacked effects on the clip.
Opened the Symphony color workspace. Added a colour effect by adjusting Curves without any stepping in - this is confirmed by the green bar under the clip in the timeline.
Is this not working for you?
This is with a motion effect on the clip, AVID thinks it is nested.
John:This is with a motion effect on the clip, AVID thinks it is nested.
Again, I'm not seeing this.
I tried with the two scenarios...
1) Timewarp effect on clip
2) Nested effects, with 3D Warp over a Timewarp effect.
In both cases I can still add/adjust a Symphony curve without stepping in.
I'm on version 8.9.2

Hey John
You can upload a picture with any post you make. See the screenshot I attached and the options tab next to Compose.
No need to yell in caps.

I can create your issue when I use BCC filters but not when using Avid filters (Resize, 3DWarp) nor with a Motion Effect clip on its own or inside a 3DWarp.
Nor does it fault with AvidFX 6.4 or Neat Video's Reduce Noise v4. And NOT with the Ignite filters.
Maybe it's Boris-related?
Neil.
